Hevilift Australia Re-Brands as Aerlink New and Painted ATR 72 VH-FVY Calls into Moranbah Airport on FIFO Duties "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

During 2022, Brisbane-based Hevilift Australia (fixed Wing Division) was reported to have re-branded as Aerlink. However, it wasnt until mid-January 2023 that Hevilift official ceased operations and Aerlink commenced operations with the fleet of ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprop aircraft transferring over.

And the first aircraft operating in Aerlink colours has started flying into Central Queensland with ATR 72-500 VH-FVY commencing Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) operations from Brisbane to and back from Moranbah Airport on Tuesday 7 March as HT725/6.

VH-FVY was ferried into Brisbane from Subang, Malaysia via Port Hedland in mid-January as 2-LUDO. It previously operated for Malaysia Airlines low-cost subsidiary Firefly as 9M-FYE.  It was then registered at VH-FVY and ferried to Cairns where it was re-painted.

VH-FVY joins four other ATR 72 aircraft - some of which were previously operated by Virgin Australia (Virgin Australia Regional Airlines [VARA] / Skywest Airlines) VH-FVH, FVI (ex OY-CLU/VH-YWV), VH-FVL and VH-FVM, plus three ATR 42 aircraft VH FVZ (ex HC-CLT/N844AV), VH-YWX (ex P2-AVV) and VH-YWU which is former Toll Freight VH-TOQ and was photographed at Cairns Airport recently as shown below.

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 "Stallion 50" Completes Airwork at Rockhampton Airport "IndyWatch Feed Qld"

On Wednesday 22 March, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 was photographed as it climbed out after completing a missed approach at Rockhampton Airport.

The Globemaster flew up from RAAF Base Amberley to Rocky, and after completing the missed approach at Rockhampton Airport, it then returned to Amberely.

A41-207 was heard to be flying as "Stallion 50".

Of interest, A41-207 still wears a tail art commemorating 80 years of the RAAF's No. 36 Squadron which currently flys the RAAF's eight C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft from RAAF Base Amberley.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter John L for sending through these great photos!

Expert criticises Qlds tough new stance on youth crime: jail is not the answer "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

Figures released by the Productivity Commission in January this year show Queensland jails more children than any other state or territory in Australia.

In 2021-2022, there were on average 287 people in youth detention in Queensland each day. Almost two thirds of those kids in custody were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

The figures also show more than half of youth offenders who come out of jail go back for new offences within 12 months. It costs $1 800 per day to keep a child in jail, which translates into a total of $162 million dollars a year for Queensland.

The Wires Netta Finney spoke with Bernie Shakeshaft, Founder and Managing Director of Backtrack Youthworks, an organisation that works with kids doing it tough, about what he thinks of the Queensland governments new plan to combat youth crime, which includes tougher sentencing and two new youth jails.

Australias family court failing domestic violence survivors "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

Content warning: This interview talks about domestic and family violence.

Australias National Research Organisation for Womens Safety (ANROWS) released survey results about community attitudes on gendered violence, revealing Australians still have a long way to  go when it comes to community attitudes towards domestic violence. The 2021 National Community Attitudes Survey revealed 37% of respondents thought women going through custody battles often make up or exaggerate claims of domestic violence to gain tactical advantage in their case.

Janine Rees is a primary school teacher and Women and Childrens Safety advocate. She has lived experience of domestic abuse her story details the injustice in Australias family court system. The Wires Netta Finney spoke with Janine to find out more.

2022 was a good year for nature in Australia, but three problems persist "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

A new report on Australias environment reveals 2022 was a good year for our rivers and vegetation but it wasnt enough to reverse the long-term decline in plant and animal species.

Despite many positive indicators, three severe, chronic and untreated problems continue to weaken our environment: habitat destruction, invasive species and climate change.

Students mental health a big issue in Australian schools "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

One in seven young Australians are diagnosed with a mental illness, and this makes schools an important place to do mental health work. However, the low ratio of school counsellors and psychologists to students for example one counsellor is available for every 750 students in NSW public schools means there is difficulty for students to access these services.

Consequently, teachers are often seen as front-line mental health providers by default, and this has risen particularly since the start of the pandemic.

So what is reasonable to expect of teachers when it comes to students mental health?

Hell and How To Get There From Sweden "IndyWatch Feed National"

J.G. Olsen / Financial Expositor

Sweden was the plandemic role model, they were well known to be following a prudent strategy of doing nothing under PM Kjell Stefan Lfven whose seven-year run as PM ended with the political chaos in late 2021.

Watching on, Denmark, which is connected to Sweden by a long bridge, was the first country in Europe to abandon W.H.O. mandate directives.

The post-Lfven government wants to lead away from the long descent into Swedish socialism by making people work harder and also to abandon the famous Swedish neutrality, second only to Swiss neutrality, for a seat at NATO. Russia is saying the Swedes will be painting a target on themselves.

Strangely, the NATO bribe or coercion involved to Sweden is not questioned by the mainstream media; we are all supposed to rally behind the Zelensky meat-grinder failed operations directed from Kiev and this is apparently enough to explain the so-called decision. Swedish relations with Ukraine go back a long way.

The unusual colours of the ancient Swedish flag are echoed by the current Ukrainian flag, leading the question as to what might be the imperial connection. The city of Kiev has been invaded and over-run continuously for a millennium, by Turkish tribes, Khazars, Swedish Vikings, Mongols, and even Nazi Germany for more than two years during WWII.

Naturally, Kiev has an arms industry and the o...

Pesticides most harmful to bees "IndyWatch Feed National"

Pesticide use is one of the factors which may be affecting bee populations worldwide. Since much of our food production depends on pollination by bees, whether bee populations have been declining globally has been the source of concern and some confusion.  While there have been reports of declining bee numbers it is now thought that these are the result of local population changes and declining species richness  i.e. of particular species of bee.  As well as pesticide use, the cause of such declines could result from the virus carried by the Varroa mite, climate change or habitat loss, or a combination of all four factors.  In Australia, we now need to pay more attention to the threat of pesticides since, with the detection of Varoa mite in Victoria in 2018, honeybee populations are more threatened.  So here we look at the pesticides most harmful to bees.  We might immediately think neonics, but while it is true that these are toxic for bees, there are many others which kill both honeybees and native Australian bees.

In SGAs app WiseGardening Choices to Protect You and the Planet where we rate risks of chemical pesticide products, we have included the full range of products in garden use. Five hundred and twenty seven products out of the 869 reviewed so far have either moderate or high risks to bees.  There are 304 with high risk and 223 with moderate risk. Of those 527 products with moderate or high risk to bees, there are still 318 commercially available and 209 have been discontinued.  Of those currently available, 181 are high risk to bees and 131 are of moderate risk.

Neonicotinoids (Neonics)

As the name suggests, these chemicals are similar to nicotine and they react with the same nerve receptors in nerve junctions as nicotine does.  This enables them to cause paralysis and death.  They are more toxic to insects than they are to mammals and birds.

Neonicotinoids in use are:

Acetamiprid

Clothianidin

Dinotefuran

Imidacloprid

Nitenpyram

Thiocloprid

Thiamethoxam

These chemicals have an advantage as insecticides because they are water-soluble and, if sprayed on the soil, plants can easily take them up.  In theory, this reduces the risk of unwanted effects on beneficial insects caused by broadscale spraying and consequent spray-drift.  However, their solubility means that they can enter and be stored in pollen and flower nectar, pla...

Get onboard the Holocaust bus for the staged events "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

institutions, the Marxist Identity Gook cadres all have a ticket to board the Holocaust Bus and go to their staged events, protests, demos etc. They are all kitted out with their victim IDs, ideology, power words (which outsiders are forbidden to utter) and their own lexicon. The Revolution is televised. Pass the popcorn.

The Jews, having won the eternal suffering sweepstakes, have a platinum victim Id card and the front row seats on the bus. Next come the Blacks and the Indigenous. Third world and Islamic migrants deployed as human tsunamis into Western nations get mid row seating for which they have they have to contend with the LBGTQ+ offensive.

And at the back of the bus we have the satan worshippers and paedo and bestial rights cadres. Nobody really wants to know what is going on a the back of the holocaust bus but it is coming to an event near you.

These Gooks will be attempting to claim their moral high ground, call out and freeze frame the majority demographic of ordinary Australians as their opposition: the anti-semites, racists, systemic racists, terfs, Nazis, horribleevilwhitecolonialoppressorsandcolonizers, phobes and haters of all sorts homophobes, transphobes, islamophobes, diversityphobes, satanphobes. Double Tax Act 1953 excludes foreign gas companies operating in Australia from paying income tax on $138 billion "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

From the Australia Institute

New analysis of data published by the Australian Tax Office (ATO) shows that five of the gas industrys most prominent companies have paid no income tax for at least the past seven years, despite a combined income from their Australian operations of $138 billion.

Readers may want to attend this conference to ask why these foreign companies dont exercise some conscience and duty of care and pay tax to a struggling Australia. These companies treat our country as a quarry by extracting out non-renewable and valuable resources then leaving great holes in the ground. Now we have wall-to-wall Labor this extravagant federal International Tax Agreements Act 1953 must be repealed to force these avaricious multinationals into paying their way or leave our resources for us to develop.

Four of the five members of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) (Arrow Energy, Australia-Pacific LNG, Chevron and ExxonMobil) that havent paid any income tax are foreign owned resulting in all profits heading straight offshore.

Key Findings:

  • In a 2012 APPEA claimed Queensland coal seam gas LNG companies would have paid around $11.2 billion in federal income tax by 2020. They have paid almost none.
  • In 2015 Chevron estimated it would have paid around $4 billion in direct taxations and royalties by 2020. It has paid no incom...

I have tried emailing (info@caravella.com.au), calling (+61 7 40512431 ), and using the booking tool on their website (caravella.com.au). All appear to be currently non functional and there are no trace of them on social media or any online reviews post-pandemic.

The Shady Past of Keir Starmer, with Oliver Eagleton "IndyWatch Feed National"

From hotshot lawyer to head of the Crown Prosecution Services (CPS), Keir Starmer is perhaps not the first person many would associate with the British Labour Party. But the partys shift in ideological stance under former Prime Minister Tony Blair opened the door for the highly polished Starmer to become the leader.

Joining Lowkey on todays episode of The Watchdog is Oliver Eagleton, author and assistant editor of the journal, The New Left Review. Eagleton knows Starmer well; his 2022 biography, The Starmer Project: a Journey to the Right, forensically dissects both Starmers background and his rapid ascension to the top of the party and details the Labour Partys ideological shift from social democracy to neoliberalism.

Today, Eagleton highlights the 60-year-old politicians questionable relationship with Washington during his time as Director of Public Prosecutions, stating:

Starmer developed a close relationship with the Obama administrationhe went over to Washington and had a series of meetings with Eric Holder, head of the DOJ [Department of Justice] who, at the time, is the guy most famous for developing the legal infrastructure around the Obama administrations drone program.

Starmer has played a key role in the prosecution of Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange. As head of the CPS, he used every weapon in his arsenal to keep the Australian publisher in the country and under constant surveillance, even threatening Swedish prosecutors who wished to drop their charges against him the entire pretense underwriting Assanges detention.

Swedish prosecutors had grown tired of the case, [it was]consuming a lot of resources, and they want to drop it. Again, the CPS intervenes and says no, no, no, you must keep the case going, Eagleton told Lowkey; The exact form of words that they used were: dont you dare get cold feet.

Eagleton was unimpressed by Starmers political history or his ideological consistency. He is just sort of a political chameleon or a blank canvas, and he can sort tack right or tack left, depending on who he is listening to at that moment, he said. What we do know is that the leader of the Labour Party pushed for tougher sentences for a whole range of crimes and demanded more police presence in working-class communities.

Before wrapping up, Oliver Eagleton makes a fundamental distinction between Keir Starmer and Tony Blair as leaders of the Labour Party.

Many have compared Starmer, both in outlook and in tone, to Tony Blair. Yet Eagleton says that this is, if anything, unfair to...

Do tiger-dense habitats also help save carbon stock? Its complicated "IndyWatch Feed National"

KATHMANDU In 2012, when wildlife biologist Kanchan Thapa visited Chitwan National Park, a stronghold of the Bengal tiger in Nepal, a colleague asked him a question: How much carbon can we save if we save one tiger? It was an interesting question for Thapa, linking the two pressing issues of biodiversity loss and climate change, and stayed with him for a long time. I wanted to find an answer to the question and to look at the relation between carbon stock and tiger habitat, Thapa told Mongabay. In a newly published study, Thapa and colleagues attempted to find an answer. In short: its what Thapa called a simple calculation thats also a complicated trade-off. And while the researchers found some interesting correlations, they note that more data and studies are needed to get a clearer picture. A grassland in Nepal. Image by Abhaya Raj Joshi for Mongabay. Their initial idea was to fit tigers with GPS collars to observe their movements through different types of habitats, including forests made up predominantly of the sal trees that are emblematic of this part of Nepal. For each of these habitats, they could then calculate the above-ground biomass carbon stock the amount of carbon stored in vegetation such as trees, shrubs and grasses above the surface. However that wasnt possible as we didnt have enough carbon data for the entire tiger habitat in Nepal, Thapa said. So for the study, Thapa and his team decided to focus on 97 plots ofThis article was originally published on Mongabay

Mainstream media's lies on Putin's so called 'arrest warrant' "IndyWatch Feed National"

Lies come in all shapes and forms, where some are blatant and others are 'white' ones.

Also a common lie is one of omission, where this is the case with regards to a so called 'arrest' warrant against USSR President Vladimir Putin.

Rupert Murdoch's 'investigative' journalists stated that there has been an arrest warrant issued for Vladimir Putin from the ICC (International Criminal Court).

BUT, those so called 'investigative' journalists' (deliberately) forgot to mention how invalid this so called 'warrant' really is.

The ICC is not a 'real' court but rather an organisation or tribunal with very limited jurisdiction.

IT is based on consent from its signatories only where those who have not signed up the court cannot issued with any lawful instruments to make executable warrant valid.

Currently, Russia, illustrated in orange was a signatory that withdrew its signature consent.

Ukraine depicted in yellow, indicates that it is a signatory, where there is no formal ratification, keeping in mind that Crimea is an (allegedly) autonomous republic in the south.

The Australian Federal Police is refusing to hand over the full brief of evidence in the investigation of Brittany Higgins rape allegation to a powerful inquiry investigating police conduct.

A former judge leading the inquiry, Walter Sofronoff KC, detailed the roadblocks the inquiry was running into at a preliminary hearing today where the AFP is represented.

The Road to War: latest film by David Bradbury "IndyWatch Feed Niugini"

By Sandi KeaneMar 28, 2023,  https://johnmenadue.com/the-road-to-war-latest-film-by-david-bradbury/?fbclid=IwAR3lvD8het8Z3qvYDpluqiSqJSvMP8KfDvzJZ26FS6xlMQ54bPTslzldOfA

As international tensions rise to a new level, with the Ukraine war passing its first anniversary and the Albanese Government set to announce its commitment of hundreds of billions of dollars to new weaponry, nuclear propelled subs, stealth bombers etc, The Road to War brings into sharp focus why it is not in Australias best interests to be dragged into an American-led war with China.

The Road to War is directed by one of Australias most respected political documentary filmmakers, David Bradbury. Bradbury has more than four decades of journalistic and filmmaking experience behind him having covered many of the worlds trouble spots since the end of the Vietnam war SE Asia, Iraq, East Timor, revolutions and civil war in Central and South America, India, China, Nepal and West Papua.

I was driven to make this film because of the urgency of the situation. I fear we will be sucked into a nuclear war with China and/or Russia from which we will never recover, were some of us to survive the first salvo of nuclear warheads, says the twice Oscar-nominated filmmaker.

We must put a hard brake on Australia joining in the current arms race as the international situation deteriorates. We owe it to our children and future generations of Australians who already face the gravest existential danger of their young lives from Climate Change, says Bradbury.

There is general concern among the defence analysts Bradbury interviews in the film that Australia is being set up to be the US proxy in its coming war with China. And that neither the Labor nor LNP governments have learnt anything from being dragged into Americas wars of folly since World War II Korea, Vietnam, two disastrous wars in Iraq and Americas failed 20 year war in Afghanistan which ripped that country apart, only to see the Taliban warlords return the country and its female population to feudal times.

The keys to the ambulance were handed over by Hon Peter Tsiamalili Jr to Hon Simon Dumarinu, who presented it to Wakunai district manager Mr Mathew Kusa.
Mr Kusa gave the keys to the health centers representative on the ground.
Hon Simon Dumarinu challenged the people gathering at the regional games to look after the vehicle for the benefit of everyone in the community.
He said the last thing was for the ambulance to be made as a private family vehicle.
We must take ownership and show the rest of PNG that we are responsible for the good of us, as Bougainvilleans, he said.
Wakunai district manager Mr Mathew Kusa expressed gratitude on behalf of his people.
Kusa said the donation was a timely gesture as the people of Ruruvu earned by looking after their current ambulance. ENDS///AK

How did rock wallabies make it to Maggie? "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

Did they hitch a ferry and the operators spotted them late and said "fuck it, they're here now, let's just let them do their thing"?

Have they been there for millions of years since when Maggie was attached to the mainland?

Has someone brought them to the island deliberately?

Did they parachute in? Did they swim?

Family violence a risk in youth suicide "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

Content warning: the following report looks at suicide and family violence.

Family violence remains an overlooked risk factor in youth suicide according to new research.

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare reports that the statistics are alarming with 38 percent of deaths caused by suicide among young people aged between 15 to 24.

Following the latest report a collaboration between Griffith University, Monash University and Melbourne City Mission and Berry Street Y-Change that explores links between children growing up with family violence and youth suicide, experts are calling for a system overhaul where service needs of young victim-survivors of family violence are included.

Subsidy cuts, cost of living pressure: mental health experts concerned "IndyWatch Feed Capricornia"

Australian Psychological Societys latest nation-wide survey highlights increasing negative impacts for millions of Australians along with burnout levels within the profession, following recent Federal Government cuts to subsidised psychology sessions from 20 to 10 a year.

Amongst a range of concerns, the survey revealed that 96% of psychologists believe the cuts will have negative impact on patient mental health and other factors such as employment, study and healthy relationships.

In addition, a number of mental health support organisations say theyve seen increased reports of Australians feeling the brunt of the cost of living crisis.

PNG's Timber Barons: # 3 The Rimbunan Hijau Group "IndyWatch Feed Niugini"

Rimbunan Hijau (RH) Group (From"The New Timber Baron Report")

  • Number of concessions: over 40 since 1993
  • Number of concessions operating 2019-21: 14
  • Total log exports (2019-21): 924,631 cubic metres
  • Market share of all log exports (2019-21): 10%

The Rimbunan Hijau Group is a multi- industry Malaysian owned company operated by the Sarawak- based Tiong family. It is one of the largest timber groups in Southeast Asia and was established in 1976. It is headed by Tiong Hiew King, one of Malaysias richest person. Rimbunan Hijau has a variety of interests in PNG and include mining, oil palm, retail, property, engineering, shipping, Tropic Air airline and the National Newspaper. Its operations span 15 different countries including Australia and New Zealand. There are more than 60 or more companies in PNG identified as being owned and controlled by the Tiong family or Rimbunan Hijau Group, of which 30 are connected to logging businesses.

While RH has historically dominated PNGs log export market, its exports have significantly declined in the past five years. In the 2019- 2021, RH Companies still exported nearly one million cubic metres of round logs from 14 concessions, but the vast majority of these exports were in 2019- by 2021, the company was only exporting from four concessions (Amdru Johana and Awiu Amgen in West New Britain Province and Wawoi Guavi Blocks 1- 3 and East Awin Amuda Island in the Western Province). The reasons for this shift are unclear, although factors may include bad publicity surrounding its logging activities, increased investment of the proceeds in other less controversial sectors of the economy, the COVID- 19 pandemic, recent resistance to expansion in the new forest areas and increased audit oversight.

Update: 2022 Log Export Data

Latest figures released by the PNG Forest Authority show that in 2022, Rimbunan Hijaus total Log Exports increased by 170% on 2021 to 300,000m3 and the number of logging concessions operated by RH increased from four to seven.

Student charged with treason after calling for referendum in free speech

News Desk Yoseph Matuans Treason Trial

29 March 2023

Jayapura, Jubi The Jayapura District Court on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, has held a hearing to read out the charges against Yoseph Ernesto Matuan, a student of the University of Science and Technology Jayapura (USTJ), who was charged with treason for calling for a referendum and raising the Morning Star flag.

The trial was led by a panel of judges chaired by Zaka Talpatty with member judges Donald Everly Malubaya and Gracely Novendra Manuhutu.

On November 10, 2022, USTJ students protested inside the campus rejecting the dialogue plan of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) to resolve the Papua conflict. They made speeches demanding a referendum while raising the Morning Star flag.

In Tuesdays hearing, public prosecutor Rakhnat stated that Yoseph Ernesto Matuan on November 10, 2022 gave a speech asking for a referendum and raised the Morning Star flag. The prosecutor said such an act was an attempt to separate Papua from Indonesia and make Papua a new country.

The prosecutor also said that Matuan invited his colleagues to unfurl the Morning Star flag and banners and pamphlets that read Reject Komnas HAM Dialogue Plan, Say Yes to Referendum, Free West Papua, Self Determination for West Papua.

In the first indictment, the prosecutor charged Matuan with the offense of joint treason, as stipulated in Article 106 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code. In the second indictment, the prosecutor charged Matuan with the offense of jointly making an attempt to commit treason as stipulated in Article 110 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code jo Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.

The Coalition of Law Enforcement and Human Rights for Papua as Matuans legal counsel said they would file an exception to the prosecutors indictment. Chief Judge Zaka Talpatty then adjourned the hearing until April 3.

There are two other USTJ students going in the treason trial, namely Ambrosius Fransiskus Elopere and Devio Tekege. Both will undergo an indictment hearing on April 3. (*)

An increase in the minimum wage is both justified and necessary "IndyWatch Feed National"

Contributed by Joe Montero

Peak Australian union body, the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), has called for a 7 percent rise for lower paid workers to keep up with rising living costs due to inflation. Critics, such as the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are already saying that this will cause a great deal of damage to the economy. They are wrong and the ACTU is in the right.

A long advocated fallacy is that wage rises always cause inflation. The truth is that inflation is a consequence of problems in the system of production and circulation that manifest in a disconnection between what the nation produces and the money supply. It is also influenced by what goes on in the global economy, and especially major trading partners.

Rises in the minimum wage over the last two years have been less than the rate of inflation and therefore still meant a cut in real wages. The proposed rise will help to close the gap but not close it.

Blaming everything on wages turns the focus away from the real problem and puts the burden of the cost on the backs of those who can least afford it. Maintaining wage stagnation and the Reserve Banks hiking of the interest rate aim at doing just this. Both are means to channel national income upwards, to service the claim that it will lead to more investment in the economy.

This is a pillar of neoliberalism, and  it must be thrown overboard. Although neoliberalism  has delivered immense wealth to a very few, in practice, it has failed to  generate productive investment and fix the economy. This is obvious. If neoliberalism had worked, the problems we have today would not be here.

Lifting the minimum hourly rate to $22.88 an hour is hardly enough to live a life of luxury, but it would provide some help for the growing proportion of Australia facing real poverty. In addition to the need to ensure justice, this is important for the health of the economy.

The ACTU has put its case through submission to the Fair Work Commission. Their argument is that workers on the minimum wage have suffered the greatest real pay cuts on record over the last two years.

Signals coming from the Albanese government are that it may have shifted from a policy supporting wages kee...

Ocean Is at Stake at International Seabed Authority Negotiations Over Deep-Sea Mining "IndyWatch Feed National"

This week in Kingston, Jamaica, the United Nations International Seabed Authority (ISA) is conducting a second week of negotiations that could shape the future of the deep ocean

In 2021, the Pacific nation of Nauru triggered something called the two-year rule, which gives the ISA until July 9 to establish regulations to govern the controversial practice of deep-sea mining. This 28th session, which launched March 16 and concludes Friday, is the bodys penultimate meeting before that deadline.

The ocean is at stake, University of California, Santa Barbara deep-sea biologist Dr. Diva Amon, who is representing the Deep Ocean Stewardship Initiative in Kingston, told EcoWatch.

But beyond the looming threat of commercial mining, something else was different about these negotiations. Influential civil society groups including Greenpeace, the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition, the Pew Charitable Trusts and WWF have given up their seats to a large coalition of Indigenous Pacific activists who have come to share their vision of the high seas, a vision that contrasts the nationalist perspective that they are nobodys land.

What we want to express is that we dont view this as nobodys land because it is part of our country, Hawaiian Indigenous speaker and activist Solomon Kahoohalahala told EcoWatch. This is where we have lived and thrived and have inhabited the largest area of ocean and islands on planet Earth.

Part of Our Country

Kahoohalahala hails from the Hawaiian island of Lnai, where he has worked to establish marine conservation areas and to protect native dry land forest. He has also joined efforts to protect Hawaiian marine biodiversity as a whole as part of the Maui Nui Makkai network and the

RFK, Jr. Calls on DOT Secretary Buttigieg to Investigate Spike in Airline Near-Misses Caused by Pilot Health Emergencies "IndyWatch Feed National"

Press Release

For Immediate Release

Washington, D.C Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. today called on U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to investigate the spike in near-misses and narrowly averted airline accidents resulting from pilots incapacitated by health emergencies since 2021, coinciding with the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the U.S.

In a letter to Buttigieg, Kennedy wrote:

Secretary Buttigieg, the safety of pilots, cabin crew, airline passengers, and the general public is not and never has been a partisan issue. Everything contained within this letter pertains to fundamental issues of public health and safety, which you, the DOT, the FAA, and the Biden Administration profess to uphold and to protect.

The changes to FAA guidelines and the lack of publicly available evidence on which these changes rest, along with the increasing number of incidents involving the incapacitation or vaccine-related injury of pilots, are highly concerning.

A Childrens Health Defense (CHD) analysis of raw data obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) determined there was a marked increase, on a per-flight basis, in medical emergency-related flight diversions in both 2021 and 2022, compared to 2019 and prior years, Kennedy said.

Similarly, there was a marked increase in medical emergency diversions on a per-passenger basis in 2021 compared to 2019 and prior years, while the 2022 figure is higher than those for 2018 and 2019, indicating an increase in medical emergencies occurring in the air, when adjusted for the reduced number of flights and passengers in the 2021 and 2022 calendar years compared to the pre-2020 period.

Kennedy said the FAA violated its own guidelines by recommending COVID-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use for pilots, contrary to the agencys policy of prohibiting pilots from taking any medical product that has been on the market for less than 12 months.

Kennedys 13-page letter citing 69 sources detailed evidence the FAA loosened medical restrictions for conditions such as myocarditis and Guillain-Barr Syndrome, both documented adverse events related to COVID-19 vaccines.

The letter outlines 12 questions Kennedy said Buttigieg and the FAA need to answer for the American public and demands a thorough investigation into whether COVID-19 vaccines may be endangering pilots, flight crews and the public.

Meeting between the Interstellar Commonwealth representatives and the Angry Astronaut described as productive (Fiction) "IndyWatch Feed National"

By Reporter X

Addressing the interstellar media, YouTube personality, the Angry Astronaut, and the Interstellar Commonwealth, both described their meeting as productive.

Im glad we had this talk, said AA. Im now open to the possibility that aliens dont want to destroy humanity.

Representative Zoklo replied, If we wanted to destroy humanity, why would help build your Internet?

I dont know. Maybe to distract us from your planet destroying missiles?

As you can see, we still have a way to go.

Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta arranged the meeting after watching AAs video accusing the Commonwealth of building Alien Death Stars.

I know some people are desperate for clicks and subscribers, but this video went too far. His reckless speculation threatened decades of negotiations to bring humanity into the Commonwealth. The Illuminati wanted to make Mr. Angry disappear. I persuaded them to let Mr. Angry meet our visitors and learn the truth.

Representative Liko insisted that the facility orbiting HD139139 manufactures luxury planets, not planet killers. There are solar systems that dont have planets in the habitable zone. Instead of building a base on a hostile world, some civilizations buy planets and orbit them in the habitable zone. Sure, its more expensive than terraforming or shifting a planets orbit, but its a status symbol. Like how your ultra-rich humans build oversized and overpowered boats instead of buying for rowboats.

AA replied, Yeah, maybe they just want to help us make love instead of war. That would be great. But what if its a trap? What if theyre distracting us with their toys while a moon-sized object hurls towards us at 99% the speed of light? We wouldnt see it until it was too late! Then they could take over our solar system! I have more to say about this, but first! I see that my YouTube Interstellar channel only has 99 billion subscribers. If reach 100 billion subscribers, I wont get mind-wiped. So if you want me to have more conversations with these allegedly friendly aliens, hit the like button and SUBSCRIBE!

Your solar system isnt that special, said Liko. And the Martian Colonies have claimed Earth as their property. They can protect your planet from any sub-light speed threat. Not that we want to destroy Earth. We want to be your friends.

Maybe. Maybe not. But until I get a definitive answer, I urge every human to STAY ANGRY ABOUT SPACE!

Fortunately, said Alexander-Basta, we have some...

Bulgaria refuses to send weapons to Ukraine, joins Hungary and Austrias neutrality stance "IndyWatch Feed National"

REMIX NEWS | March 27, 2023

After Austria and Hungary, Bulgaria has also joined the minority group of European Union countries that refuse to send weapons to Ukraine, news and opinion portal Mandiner reports.

Bulgaria has declared that it will not take part in the EUs joint ammunition purchase program, nor will it supply fighter jets or tanks to Ukraine, Euronews reports. Bulgarian President Rumen Radev is under enormous pressure from opposition parties, but he has said he stands by his position.

Bulgaria does not support and is not involved in the joint procurement of ammunition for Ukraine. However, we will support efforts to restore peace. As long as the interim government is in power, Bulgaria will not make its fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile systems, tanks and other equipment available to Ukraine, said Radev.

At the end of January, Hungarian Defense Minister Kristf Szalay-Bobrovniczky and his Austrian counterpart, Klaudia Tanner, said in Budapest that neither country will offer any kind of military assistance to Ukraine in order to prevent further escalation.

Although many of its Western allies accuse Hungary of siding with Russia in the war based on its firm stance of not sending weapons to Ukraine, last December Prime Minister Viktor Orbn said that his government is simply on the side of the Hungarians.

We are pro-Hungarian, Orbn told daily Magyar Nemzet in an interview. We are on the side of the Hungarians in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Orbn argued that while it is important to his government that Russia poses no security threat, continued economic relations are essential for not only Hungary but also the entire European economy.

The answer to the question of whether we are on the right or wrong side of history is that we are on the Hungarian side of history. We support and help Ukraine, it is in our interest to preserve a sovereign Ukraine, and it is in our interest that Russia does not pose a security threat to Europe, but it is not in our interest to give up all economic relations with Russia. We are looking at these issues through Hungarian glasses, not through anyone elses,...

Evolutionary relationships are just whatever Ken Ham decides "IndyWatch Feed National"

Time to revise all of taxonomy, according to Ken Ham. He was annoyed by a sign at the local zoo.

Humans are animals? Something must be done!

From a biblical worldview perspective, humans are different to animals. Only human beings are made in the image of God. Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (Genesis 1:26).

God made animals differently, And God said, Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kindslivestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds (Genesis 1:24). When God created Adam, He brought animals to him to name to show there was no one like him, as none of the animals were made in Gods image, But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him (Genesis 2:20).

Because of the emphasis today that man is just an animal & thus affecting peoples view of humanity & how they view various moral issues, I suggest Christians use the criterion made in the image of God, for an additional Kingdom. This would place man in his own Kingdom, The Human Kingdom. We need our children to understand that humans are special & made in Gods image, whereas animals are not made in Gods image.

Hes gonna fix that. First step: redesign that zoo sign.

Humans are as different from all other organisms as paramecia are from sequoias, or elephants from mushrooms. The evidence for that is a) the Bible, and b) Ken Ham.

Im afraid Im going to have to demand a full phylogenetic analysis of that tree. I dont think Answers in Genesis can do it. I dont think they have the slightest conception of the rigor required of systematics.

What will Become Money Post-2032? "IndyWatch Feed National"

QUESTION: Hello Martin,
Been reading your writings with keen interest for over 15 years now since while you were incarcerated.
My question is: The way you paint a picture of the past economies going back hundreds and thousands of years through the discovery of coinage hoards is brilliant. How will a future Martin Armstrong from say 500 to 1,000 years from now be able to utilize that methodology of discovering the history of this era when were largely a computer digital transaction society? (Especially if government-planned digital currency takes over?)
Thanks. Jerry S.

ANSWER: I know the crypto-people do not like my view that digital currency is entirely dependent upon the power grid and once money is in any official exchange, it will be subject to government regulation. Just look at Tik Tok. The government wants to ban it...

KAIN MINISTER WANTAIM MERI MAUS SAVE KUSAI TUMAS "IndyWatch Feed Niugini"

During a parliamentary session on March 22, 2023, Hon. Steven Pim MP, the Member for Dei, presented four inquiries regarding the decision of the NAC Board to prolong the acting MD's appointment for an additional 3 months. He also questioned whether the board acted unlawfully, violating the recent modifications made to the Civil Aviation Act. In reaction, Civil Aviation Minister Walter Schnaubelt made deceitful statements to both Parliament and the public.
  1. The Civil Aviation Minister, Walter Schnaubelt, authorized a board meeting that took place and resulted in the appointment of Tupiri as Acting MD of NAC. This can be proven by the NAC Board Circular dated March 3, 2023, and the correspondence between the Board and the Minister. Therefore, his statement to Parliament that no decision had been made by the Board was false.

  2. The decision to reappoint Tupiri as Acting MD was widely confirmed and published on social media by the NAC Board. The Minister's statement to Parliament that no decision had been made is therefore untrue, as proven by the attached published articles.

  3. Minister Schnaubelt stated that only the NEC has the power to extend an acting appointment...

Parliament votes against urgent refugee evacuation bill "IndyWatch Feed Niugini"

Parliament votes against urgent refugee evacuation bill

Despite a promise to show compassion, the Labor Government has sided with the Liberals and One Nation, turning down a bill to rescue asylum seekers imprisoned overseas, writes Chris Fitzgerald.

EARLIER THIS MONTH, the Albanese Government voted against the Migration Amendment (Evacuation to Safety) Bill 2023.

The bill, introduced by the Greens Senator Nick McKim, proposed to urgently evacuate 150 refugees still held in detention in Papua New Guinea and Nauru.

These refugees would be able to remain in Australia and access medical care while they await resettlement in a third country, such as New Zealand or the United States.

When tabling the bill, Senator McKim stated:

After ten long years of offshore detention, it is abhorrent that about 150 people remain exiled in PNG and Nauru.

The bill was defeated in the Senate 24 votes to 12, with the Greens and Independent Senators David Pocock and Lidia Thorpe voting in favour.

In contrast, the Government sided with the politically Right Liberal-National Coalition opposition and the openly xenophobic One Nation Party.

Jana Favero, Director of Advocacy and Campaigns at the Australian Asylum Seeker Resource Centre criticised the Government's decision, saying:

Make no mistake, the...

Most Baby Formula Claims Not Backed by Science "IndyWatch Feed National"

In the face of overwhelming scientific evidence that breastfeeding is the best nutrition for newborns and infants, infant formula companies make claims that formula strengthens immune health and brain development and supports digestive health.1 Similac also claims to have included prebiotics that are structurally identical to those found in breast milk. Yet, a 2023 study found the health and nutrition claims for formulas are not supported by robust clinical trial evidence.2

The World Health Organization,3 CDC4 and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)5 support exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. The AAPs 2022 policy statement includes:6

Breastfeeding and human milk are the normative standards for infant feeding and nutrition. The short- and long-term medical and neurodevelopmental advantages of breastfeeding make breastfeeding, or the provision of human milk, a public health imperative.

Evidence-based benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby are experienced immediately and over a lifetime. For example, according to the CDC,7 mothers have a lower risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, ovarian or breast cancer, and high blood pressure. Breastfed infants have a lower risk of obesity, asthma, ear infections, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in preterm infants.

In addition to these physical benefits, science has also identified emotional benefits to mother and child.8 Mothers experience reduced stress in the early months of caring for their newborn and improved sensitivity to their infants needs. Breastfeeding improves cognitive performance in children and socio-affective response to their environment.

Infant Formula Claims Are Not Evidence Based

In a study published in February 2023, researchers sought to evaluate the nutrition claims made by infant formula companies in multiple countries. This international cross-sectional survey offers valuable evidence for parents, physicians and public health experts. Formula sold in 15 countries were surveyed, including those sold in the U.S., U.K., Norway, Nigeria, Russia, Germany, Canada, Italy, Japan and Australia.9

Australia is set to see its biggest-ever surge of immigrants with government figures revealing 650,000 migrants are predicted to arrive this financial year and next. The sudden population boom is likely to put even greater pressure on the national housing crisis which has seen record rent rises as too many tenants compete for too few homes. But it will also ease workforce shortages which have caused chronic job vacancies where employers have struggled to find staff to fill positions, especially in healthcare, hospitality and tourism.

Meatball Made With Wooly Mammoth DNA Created by Food Company "IndyWatch Feed National"

The concept of a mammoth meatball might conjure up an image of a gigantic meatball at a county fair, but Australian cultured meat company Vow Food which cultivates meat from animal cells without the slaughter of animals has produced a meatball that incorporates DNA from the extinct woolly mammoth.

The first-ever recreation of the flesh of the extinct creature is meant to show the potential of lab-grown meat, and to call attention to the large-scale raising and slaughter of livestock that is responsible for the destruction of forests and the wildlife and ecosystems that depend on them, reported The Guardian.

We need to start rethinking how we get our food. My biggest hope for this project is that a lot more people across the world begin to hear about cultured meat, said Vows Chief Scientific Officer James Ryall, as CNN reported.

The 0.88-pound meatball isnt actually intended to be eaten and only contains a small amount of woolly mammoth DNA. The scientists made a synthesized gene created from the DNA sequence of the woolly mammoth found in a genome database available to the public.

Gaps in the sequence were filled in with African elephant genome data, and the synthesized gene was grown in the muscle cell of a sheep.

From a genomic point of view, its only one gene amongst all the other sheep genes that is mammoth. Its one gene out of 25,000, said Ernst Wolvetang, professor and senior group leader at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland, who was part of the project, as reported by CNN.

Vow has been looking at combining cells from species that arent commonly consumed, like crocodile, alpaca, peacock and kangaroo, to create different meat varieties, The Guard........

The US and Japan have agreed to not impose export duties on critical minerals needed for electric vehicle batteries. The agreement is aimed at reinforcing supply chains and reducing dependence on China, which currently dominates the sector. The US law requires 40% of critical minerals in eligible EV batteries to be extracted from countries with free-trade agreements, rising to 80% in 2027, which would have excluded the EU and Japan. Rare earth elements and minerals like lithium are crucial for clean energy, but the US is expected to face supply gaps to meet demand for EV

FBI File: The FBI Story A Report to the People (Book), by Don Whitehead "IndyWatch Feed National"

Here are the FBI files on the book by Don Whitehead entitled, The FBI Story A Report to the People. Here is a synopsis of the book:

What is the FBI? How did it come into being? What has it accomplished? What are its powers? Above all, what does the mere fact of its existence mean to Every Citizen of the United States? This book, written with the cooperation of J. Edgar Hoover and FBI Personnel will answer these questions once and for all. THE FBI STORY, written by one of Americas top reporters, Don Whitehead, and with a Foreword by J. Edgar Hoover, takes you behind the scenes to reveal the record of Americas crusade against crime and subversion. THE FBI STORY names names, places and events. Youll read about cases which have made todays headlines as well as about the celebrated cases and notorious events which made yesterdays. Youll read about the Black Tom explosion and other acts of sabotage which were the prelude to Americas entrance into World War I. You will find the case histories of the Wall Street Explosion and Palmers Raids; the Harding Era and Gaston Means. The gangsters rise to power in the roaring twenties and the lady in red, Pretty Ana Cumpanas, who betrayed John Dillinger, and Al Capone. Here too are the Lindbergh Kidnapping, the Kansas City Massacre and many other cases which placed the FBI in the forefront of the publics imagination. THE FBI STORY is the story too of Pearl Harbor, the capture of the Japanese espionage messages, the German saboteurs invasion of the United States and their capture, and other behind the scenes dramas of World War II. The book tells of the FBIs secret operations in South and Central America and the experiences of its Special Intelligence Service (SIS). How the FBI tricked the Germans through double agent radio stations is a stranger than fiction story. Youll read of the FBIs role in combating postwar crime as Don Whitehead reports on the kidnap murder of little Bobby Greenlease and the murder of a mother by her son high over a Colorado beet field when a plane fell carrying passengers and crew to their deaths. The fight against Communism in the United States, Smith Act prosecutions and the gathering of evidence which made these prosecutions possible are all portrayed. Also related are the cases of Hiss and Klaus Fuchs and the theft of the atomic secrets and the Rosenberg and Greenglass cases, which are revealed in detail. The history of the FBI in reality represents the peoples efforts to achieve government by law. THE FBI STORY, then, is the story of America itself and the struggles to attain this ideal.

Eradicate the guns, not the people "IndyWatch Feed National"

The Washington Post graces us with articles on what an AR-15 bullet does to a human body. Its unsettling stuff, especially when they describe what happens to actual, named human victims. The only people who would want to own these murderous devices are psychopaths, so why havent we criminalized them already?

If you have to ask why the US has these devastating shootings, the answer is simple: its the guns.

The debate is over. Stop arguing for lethal weapons and do something about it.

The Road to War- Adelaide 6pm Wed 29 March new Australian documentary by David Bradbury "IndyWatch Feed Niugini"

MAR 28  https://undueinfluence.substack.com/p/the-road-to-war?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email

The Road to War is a new film directed and produced by David Bradbury, one of Australias most respected political documentary filmmakers. Bradbury has more than four decades of journalistic and filmmaking experience having covered many of the worlds trouble spots since the end of the Vietnam war, including Southeast Asia, Iraq, East Timor, revolutions and civil war in Central and South America, India, China, Nepal and West Papua.

In The Road To War, Bradbury interviews former Australian diplomats and numerous defence experts and analysts including John Lander, Hugh White, Richard Tanter about AUKUS and its massive arms procurement policies, including the nuclear-powered submarines, as well as the deteriorating US relationship with China and the implications for Australia.

Michelle Fahy, who appears in the film, discusses the undue influence of the arms industry on government policy, revolving door appointments and the arms industry links of various former defence ministers, and the anti-China position of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) including the conflicts inherent in ASPIs funding arrangements, which Michelle wrote about in 2021.

Bradbury, a twice Oscar-nominated filmmaker, says: I was driven to make this film because of the urgency of the situation. I fear we will be sucked into a nuclear war with China and/or Russia from which we will never recover, were some of us to survive the first salvo of nuclear warheads.

He continues, We must put a hard brake on Australia joining in the current arms race as the international situation deteriorates. We owe it to our children and future generations of Australians who already face the gravest existential danger of their young lives from climate change.

There is general shared concern among those experts Bradbury interviews in the film that Australi...
